    Bahrain - BAH
Arrival passengers are required to complete the "Health Declaration Form" distributed on board and submit it to the Health Authority on arrival.

Government of Bahrain has imposed special Immigration policy. Passengers arriving from the following SARS infected countries/regions are not allowed to enter into the Kingdom of Bahrain:

People Republic of China
Hong Kong
Taiwan
Singapore

Exceptions are:
a. All Bahrain nationals, regardless of travel history.
b. All GCC (Saudi, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Qatar) nationals, regardless of travel history.
Note: Passengers holding Bahrain or GCC Resident Permit are not allowed to enter the Kingdom of Bahrain.
c. Passengers with onward air connection from Bahrain to a third country, regardless of travel history, provided they will remain in airport transit area while in Bahrain.
d. Passengers with onward land connection from Bahrain to Saudi Arabia.
e. Passengers originated from non-affected countries and transit through the above affected country (e.g.Hong Kong), provided they have remained in the airside (transit area) while transit, and their travel document do not have any chop of the affected country dated within the transit period.
    Bangkok - BKK
Crew and passengers to remain onboard whilst Quarantine officers perform 1st screening on passengers (transit flights excluded). Arrival passengers will be required to complete the Health Declaration Form distributed onboard and proceed to pier 3 or 4 for the 2nd medical screening (from interview to temperature inspection). Once passengers are cleared from the 2nd screening, a clearance will be stamped on their arrival document.

All Thai residents returning home from SARS infected areas are advised to house detention for 10 days.

Non-Thai travellers arriving from SARS infected are required to wear protective masks for the first 10 days of their stay in Thailand.

    Cebu - CEB
Arrival passengers will be required to complete and submit the "Health Check List" distributed on board to the quarantine desk located before immigration. Passengers with SARS symptoms ticked will be guided to a quarantine room and examined further by the doctor.
    Colombo - CMB
No special requirement
    Denpasar - DPS
Arrival passengers will be required to complete and submit the yellow "Health Declaration Card" distributed before immigration. Passengers with SARS symptoms ticked will be guided to a quarantine room and examined further by the doctor.

Current precautionary measures done by Denpasar port quarantine by positioning additional medical staff, doctors and ambulance at the airport. They have opened few counters before immigration for distributing health declaration card and detect arrival passenger visually.
    Dubai - DXB
All passengers originating from Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam are required to complete the Dubai disembarkation card (part no. 1795) and hand it over to the immigration officer.

The local Health Authorities at Dubai Airport have adopted a procedure of doing a thermal temperature check on passengers arriving from Hong Kong.
    Frankfurt - FRA
No special requirement
    Fukuoka - FUK
All passengers and crew are required to complete a quarantine questionnaire (Yellow Card) distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials on arrival.
    Hanoi - HAN
All passengers are required to complete a special Vietnam arrival medical card and hand it over to the quarantine officer. Passenger with indicated SARS symptoms will be isolated and sent to Medical Centre at the arrival hall.
    Ho Chi Minh City - SGN
All Vietnamese passport holders originating from Hong Kong, Taiwan and China
will be quarantined for 14 days after arriving Ho Chi Minh City in medical clinics. Transportation, food and accommodation are provided on Government's account. Passengers of other nationalities are not subject to this requirement. Vietnamese passengers with journey originated from places other than the above 3 areas are also not subject to this requirement even if they make air transit at the 3 areas. All arrival passengers are required to complete a special Vietnam arrival medical card, and hand it over to the quarantine officer. Passenger with indicated SARS symptoms will be isolated and sent to the Medical Centre in the Arrival Hall.

All departing passengers are required to complete the Quarantine Form and respond to the WHO questions. Blanks forms will be distributed at check-in counter and to be submitted to the doctors at the quarantine counter located after customs area. The doctors will also do a quick appearance check (5 seconds) before releasing passengers to Immigration.
    Hong Kong - HKG
All arriving passengers are required to fill in a mandatory Health Declaration Form for immigration clearance. At the same time, the Port Health Office will distribute a Health Alert card.

Body temperature checks will be carried out on all passengers arriving at or transit through Hong Kong by Auxiliary Medical Service (AMS) personnel. For arrival passengers, the checks will be done right before immigration clearance. Those with body temperature above 38°C will be taken to an AMS post for a secondary temperature check. If a fever is confirmed, AMS staff would ask the passenger a series of health related questions. If SARS is suspected, the passenger would be referred to Port Health for follow up. For transit passengers, they will have their checks done at transfer desk E1, E2 and W2 before proceeding to departure security check point.

Departing passengers from Hong Kong will be asked the following SARS health check questions during check-in:
1. Have you had contact with severe acute respiratory syndrome commonly known as "SARS"?
2. Have any of your family members had contact with "SARS"?
3. Do you have any "SARS" symptoms, including fever (37.5°C or above), coughing, shortness of breath, diarrhoea?
If the answer is "yes" to any of the above questions, the passenger will be referred to local Health Authority for further clearance.

Body temperature checks will be carried out by AMS on all passengers departing Hong Kong prior to Immigration clearance. Passengers found with a temperature above standard would require further evaluation by AMS, thereafter referred to Raffles Medical Centre if necessary. Passenger with temperature at standard or below will be released for Immigration clearance as normal.
    Jakarta - CGK
Arrival passengers will be required to complete and submit the yellow "Health Check List" distributed on board to the quarantine officers before immigration. Passengers with SARS symptoms ticked will be guided to a quarantine room and examined further by the doctor.
    Johannesburg - JNB
No special arrangement for arrival passengers.

Departing passengers are required to fill in a questionnaire (3 questions) during check-in relating to the symptoms of SARS. If the answers are all negative, passenger proceeds as normal. Otherwise a medical doctor is called out immediately and the passenger will be taken away from the check-in counters and isolated.
    Karachi - KHI
No special requirement
    Kuala Lumpur - KUL
All arrival passengers are required to complete a "Health Declaration Form" distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials on arrival.

Hong Kong (SAR BNO) and Canadian passport holders may enter Malaysia without visa. Taiwanese passport holders would need entry visa as per normal procedure. Nationals from China and Vietnam would need to complete and submit a medical certificate (the form with the standard health questions) in addition to their normal visa requirement.
    London - LHR
No special requirement. A Health Advice leaflet from Department of Health is being distributed to the general public.
    Los Angeles - LAX
Health declaration form not required. An information card will be handed to passengers on arrival alerting them to SARS and instructing them what to do if they should become ill within 10 days of arriving into the US.
    Manila - MNL
All incoming passengers from SARS infected areas are required to complete the "Health Check List" distributed before landing. They will also have to go through a body temperature check at the quarantine desk prior to immigration clearance.
    Melbourne - MEL
No special requirement
    Mumbai - BOM
Passengers arriving from Asian destination (including Hong Kong) will be screened by the representatives of the Airport Health Office.

All incoming passengers are required to complete the "Health Declaration Form" distributed before landing and hand it over to the Health Authority on arrival.
    Nagoya - NGO
All passengers and crew are required to complete a quarantine questionnaire (Yellow Card) distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials on arrival.
    New Delhi - DEL
All incoming passengers are required to complete the "Health Declaration Form" distributed before landing and hand it over to the Health Authority on arrival.
    New York - JFK
Health declaration form not required. An information card will be handed to passengers on arrival alerting them to SARS and instructing them what to do if they should become ill within 10 days of arriving into the US.
    Osaka - KIX
All passengers and crew are required to complete a quarantine questionnaire (Yellow Card) distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials on arrival.
    Paris - CDG
Passengers arriving from SARS affected area (including Hong Kong) are required to complete a Contact Information Form distributed on board. The form will be collected by CX arrival handling staff under the supervision of French Customs officials.
    Penang - PEN
All arrival passengers are required to complete a "Health Declaration Form" distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials on arrival.

Hong Kong (SAR BNO) and Canadian passport holders may enter Malaysia without visa. Taiwanese passport holders would need entry visa as per normal procedure. Nationals from China and Vietnam would need to complete and submit a medical certificate (the form with the standard health questions) in addition to their normal visa requirement.
    Perth - PER
No special requirement
    Riyadh - RUH
The Immigration Office of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has imposed special entry policy:

Visitors with journey originated from Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Singapore and Taiwan will not be permitted for entry into Saudi Arabia. Exceptions are:

1. Saudi Nationals
2. Permanent residents of Saudi Arabia and expatriates (holding single/multi exit re-entry visa)

they will be asked at immigration to contact the airport medical team who will take down their details and follow their progress in the following 10-15 days.

Transit passengers through Hong Kong, coming from countries other than those listed above, will be permitted into the Kingdom.
    Rome - FCO
Passengers disembarking Rome coming from the SARS affected areas are required to complete and submit a "Data Recording for Health Surveillance" form distributed on board. This form contains personal data and the contact information for the next 14 days.

On arrival, passengers will disembark by bus to the terminal and go through a dedicated Health Channel. The Authorities will collect the surveillance form and distribute a leaflet in Italian and English containing information regarding the SARS symptoms, and warning them to contact a doctor in case they develop any symptoms in the next 10 days.

Passengers are advised NOT to bring in any food stuff into Italy. Baggage will be strictly screened by Customs Authorities and food stuff will be confiscated.
    San Francisco - SFO
Health declaration form not required. An information card will be handed to passengers on arrival alerting them to SARS and instructing them what to do if they should become ill within 10 days of arriving into the US.
    Sapporo - SPK
All passengers and crew are required to complete a quarantine questionnaire (Yellow Card) distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials on arrival.
    Seoul - ICN
All passengers are required to complete a quarantine questionnaire distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials at the arrival gate.

Passengers from Hong Kong are required to go through a body temperature check upon arrival in South Korea.
    Singapore - SIN
For Arriving Passengers


1. Arriving passengers from SARS affected areas as identified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) will have their temperatures taken using thermal scanners. The checks are non-intrusive and have no impact on the time needed by passengers to clear the various airport processes.

2. All passengers arriving in Singapore will be required to fill in a Health Declaration Card.

3. Additionally, the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) has issued a directive to all airlines operating at Changi Airport requiring them to ask passengers the three questions recommended by WHO before allowing them to board the flight to Singapore.

The three questions are :

1) Do you have high fever of more than 38 degrees Celsius?
2) Do you have one or more respiratory symptoms including cough, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing?
3) Have you had close contact with a person who has been diagnosed with SARS, or had recent history of travel to areas reporting cases of SARS?

4. Any visibly unwell passenger will be asked to obtain a doctor's certification before they are allowed to board the flight to Singapore.


For Departing Passengers

1. All departing passengers will have their temperatures taken using thermal scanners before they pass through immigration checks. The checks are non-intrusive and have no impact on the time needed by passengers to clear the various airport processes.

2. CAAS has issued a directive to airlines in Changi Airport requiring all airlines to ask departing passengers the three questions recommended by WHO.
    Surabaya - SUB
A "Surveillance of SARS" form will be distributed by Airport Health Office to all passengers arriving from Singapore, Hong Kong, Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Bandar Seri Begawan. These forms will be collected after Immigration checks.

Passengers will be observed and scanned by Department of Health personnel at arrival gate or immigration counter. Annoucement will also be made to encourage reporting of supsected cases.

Departing passengers will be observed and scanned by Department Health personnel at departure gate or immigration counter.
    Sydney - SYD
No special requirement
    Taipei - TPE
Passengers arriving from SARS infected areas, namely China including Hong Kong, Singapore, Toronto (Canada), the Philippines and Mongolia, are subject to special immigration policies:

Taiwanese residents returning from an infected area are allowed to enter, but are subject to the 10-day mandatory isolation in designated hotels or own home.

Residents of Hong Kong and the People's Republic of China are required to apply for entry / exit visa in advance. Those who have valid visas will be allowed to enter Taiwan but subject to the 10-day mandatory isolation.

Macau passport holders, if their journey originate from non-SARS areas, may apply for landing visa on arrival. They will not be subject to the 10-day mandatory isolation if holding a "Proof of no departures within (certain period)" issued by Macau Government.

Canada, Singapore and The Philippines passport holders travelling from SARS areas are required to apply for entry / exit visa in advance. They are also required to obtain a "Boarding Permit" from local Taiwan embassy prior departure. They are subject to the 10-day mandatory isolation. Those travelling from non-SARS areas with proof that they have not landed in any SARS infected areas in previous 10 days will be allowed to enter Taiwan without mandatory isolation.

Foreign passengers holding a Taiwan resident permit, regardless of nationality and travel itinerary, will be allowed to enter Taiwan if they hold a valid Taiwan re-entry permit. Those returning from SARS areas will be subject to the 10-day mandatory isolation.

Other foreign passengers (ie, non-SARS area nationality), if entitled for Taiwan "visa on arrival" application and travelling from SARS areas are required to apply for entry / exit visa in advance. They are also required to obtain a "Boarding Permit" from local Taiwan embassy prior departure. They are subjected to the 10-day mandatory isolation. Those travelling from non-SARS areas may still apply for "landing visa" upon arrival as in normal practices, except those who start journey from Canada (other than Toronto), they must have valid visa and "Boarding Permit" from local Taiwan embassy prior departure.

Passengers coming from non-SARS areas and via direct transit in Hong Kong will be allowed to enter Taiwan without undergoing the 10-day mandatory isolation.

It is mandatory for all passengers travelling from SARS infected areas to wear a mask during their entire journey, except when taking meals. Arrival passengers are also required to complete the "SARS survey form" distributed before landing. These forms should be handed to officers at the Immigration Passport Control. A ear temperature test to all arrival passengers will be done by Health Authority officers at the Immigration Hall.

A similar ear temperature test will be carried out on all passengers leaving Taipei. They are also required to complete the "SARS survey form" distributed during check-in. These forms should be given to the Health Authority officers at the entrance of restricted area, where temperature tests are being done. Failing the compliance of temperature check will be subject to penalty by Health Authority according to the relevant ordinance.

We advise all passengers to wear a mask on board during your journey out of Taiwan.
    Tokyo - NRT
All passengers and crew are required to complete a quarantine questionnaire (Yellow Card) distributed on board. The form should be submitted to quarantine officials on arrival.
    Toronto - YYZ
A yellow "Health Alert Card" and a "Traveller Contact Information Form (TCIF)" will be distributed on board before landing. Passengers are required to complete the TCIF and submit to the officials from Health Canada on arrival.

Departing passengers should collect a pink departure leaflet and will be asked the 3 questions by CX check-in staff. Health Canada Officials are available for additional screening and questions.

    Vancouver - YVR
A yellow "Health Alert Card" and a "Traveller Contact Information Form (TCIF)" will be distributed on board before landing. Passengers are required to complete the TCIF and submit to the officials from Health Canada on arrival.

Departing passengers should collect a pink departure leaflet and will be asked the 3 questions by CX check-in staff. Health Canada Officials are available for additional screening and questions.
